Blue Volta Prototype
A downloadable game for Windows and macOS
Blue Volta is a classic point-and-click, third-person graphic adventure. It features extraordinary evocative settings and fully freehand drawn graphics.
The player will take Zeno, The Last Librarian, through a life-changing journey. The quest for an ancient volume will steal Zeno away from the sleepy routine of the Citadel of Knowledge. Along the way, he will confront ancient secrets and explore mysterious places teeming with wondrous creatures and bizarre characters.
A message from the team
Hey folks! We’re Ossocubo, a small Italian development team that’s been in hibernation for quite a while.
Between 2014 and 2016 we worked on a graphic adventure called Blue Volta. What started as a small, manageable project slowly grew into something far more ambitious than we were ready for. Inexperience, bad timing, and an ever-expanding scope eventually brought development to a halt.
Blue Volta was never officially released, but during that time we created a demo that was shown at events and caught the attention of a few publishers. Years later, during one of our regular pizza-fueled meetups (we like pizza), we decided it was finally time to release that old demo – bugs and all.
This demo was never meant for public release, but we wanted to preserve and honor the work that went into it, especially the contributions of our amazing collaborators.
Will Blue Volta ever be fully released? Maybe. If circumstances change and someone decides to throw some money, we’d surely do it! We’d probably make a different game today, but with the same heart.
Now a few notes:
- This was created using Unity 5 / Unity 2017, we worked on it from 2014 to 2016 and it has not been updated since
- The demo was never meant for public release, so expect some bugs.
- Supported input devices: Mouse + keyboard (gamepad is not supported).
- Maximum supported resolution: Full HD (1920x1080), you can go higher but bad things will happen
- The demo was built with Unity 2017, which contains a known vulnerability in the executable. For details, see: Unity Security Advisory (September 2025).
We hope you’ll enjoy playing the Blue Volta demo!
